Stacey L'Air | Social Alchemist

Stacey L'Air is a talented and passionate event producer and filmmaker hailing from the unique city of

New Orleans. Born and raised in the heart of the Big Easy, Stacey developed a deep appreciation for the arts and

a keen eye for creativity from a young age. She utilized her passions to give back to an underserved community,

specifically in education. Her diverse background and experiences have shaped her into a multifaceted

professional, making her a force to be reckoned with in the world of entertainment.

Stacey's career began to flourish while earning her Theater Degree in New York City, where she worked for

prestigious organizations such as New York Women in Film & Television and The Hip-Hop Association.

Notably, Stacey also served as the Festival Associate Manager, Events for the esteemed Sundance Film Festival in

2023, as well as Labs Coordinator, Documentary Edit for the Sundance Institutes 2023 Documentary Edit &

Story Lab, a testament to her versatility and expertise in orchestrating large-scale events of cultural significance.

Also serving as Program Coordinator for The Level Up Cohort at The Black Film Festival of New Orleans

(BFFNO), Stacey continues to be a driving force in promoting diverse voices and the development of

up-and-coming filmmakers within the film industry. Stacey is also the current COO of The Hip-Hop Education

Center, whose vision is to cultivate and elevate the field of Hip-Hop Education and make it accessible to all.

HHEC currently has a “Studios Program” with NEON Works, a youth probation center in the Bronx, where

they have developed a multi-media studio with 5 students who will be completing an apprenticeship, creating

content including podcasts, videos, Ted Talks, and additional media assets to comprise a portfolio. In addition,

Stacey continues to give back to her local community with her partnerships with other local businesses and

organizations including the New Orleans Film Society, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, The

Essence Festival and NOSACONN for which she is currently the Special Projects Liaison/Film Coordinator.

Stacey continues to build on her expertise as a current Media Communications student at Full Sail University.

Stacey L'Air's journey has given her an unwavering dedication and determination to give back to the

community. With her unique perspective and relentless drive, she continues to leave an indelible mark on the

industry, elevating voices and transforming ideas into reality. As she embarks on her path to becoming a notable

filmmaker, the world eagerly awaits the stories she will tell and the impact she will undoubtedly make in the

realm of cinema.
